AN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR AND A STAY-AT-HOME, WORK-FROM-HOME MOTHER OF THREE.
Being a stay-at-home mom, I didn’t need full-day care, but I wanted my children to have a gentle first exposure to school before beginning full-day kindergarten at our local public school. I found it very difficult to find valid preschool that was affordable. As a former daycare teacher and supervisor, the preschool age had always been my favorite in the classroom. And I knew that quality, affordable preschool remains a need in our communities. So when my youngest was ready for preschool in 2008, my husband and I had one ready for him. I’ve gone back to school, and started my own business, teaching the age group I love. I think my clients (the parents) can tell that my teaching comes from a passion for this wonderful age group. My other clients (the students) can’t wait for their next day of school.
With eight children in each class, we take a gentle and systematic approach to learning how to go to school, to care for ourselves physically, to be active and responsible learners, and to practice interacting with others.
I offer a balanced curriculum of kindergarten readiness and playful learning, with lots of opportunities for creative expression, imaginative play, and outdoor explorations.
